STRAPS
Straps are two loops of strong fabric and some of the most dramatic moves in the circus – and a brilliant way to build real strength. We'll build you up to it at your own pace, and the group is friendly and encouraging, so new faces are always welcome. Come and give it a go in West Dorset.
Classes are held just outside Beaminster in West Dorset.
They're small – typically no more than 9 people – and must be booked in advance.

MIXED ABILITY
Initially learn to build the strength and stamina to train straps. Overcoming the discomfort is the first step and then working at pull ups/dips, leg lifts, core stability, shapes and transitions.

INTERMEDIATE
Adding meathooks, back flags, back levers and working with simple rolls and flares.

ONE - 2 - ONES
Tailor made for you and help you achieve your maximum potential. You can book a 30 min session or one hour. Typically these focus on building the tool box needed for a complete routine with a wide variety of moves/drops/climbs and transitions.

ABOUT AERIAL STRAPS
Aerial straps are two loops of strong fabric hanging side by side, and they're among the most dramatic of all circus disciplines. They began as a strength act in China centuries ago, and in the twentieth century Russian circus artists brought swinging, spinning and flight to them. With no wraps or knots to rely on, everything comes from your own strength and control, which makes straps hard work but hugely rewarding, and few things in the circus look as powerful. We'll build you up to it at your own pace in our West Dorset classes.
